I just became a Bombshell!

Wow, what a great weekend!  I am too tired to write everything now, but I have to give you the highlights.  I finally achieved my goal of attending a Figure Camp by Shannon and Rob Dey, who are the coaches and trainers for Team Bombshell.  Team Bombshell is the group of competitors who work wth the Deys, and boy are they awesome!  I met many of them at NPC Jr USA’s and was so impressed.  Not only did they win everything in sight, they were some of the nicest women I have ever met.  I talked with Shannon and discovered that she does long distance training and she invited me to come to camp.

Well, I don’t have to explain how tough things have been in real estate, so it took me a while financially to be in the position to attend.  But I set a goal and achieved it this weekend.  And I am SO glad I went.  Everything in life happens for a reason.  I went to Jr USA’s to compete on a whim, got my butt kicked and was very upset about it, but if I hadn’t gone I wouldn’t have met Shannon and the Team Bombshell ladies.  And now, after this weekend, I am officially a member of Team Bombshell!!!!!

Now I know why I got my butt kicked in my last two competitions.  Compared to how awesome the training, preparation and stage presentation by Shannon is, what I was doing all by myself was a joke.    I have never had a trainer, or anyone to help me at all except in bits and pieces.  A lot of that is my fault–I tend to be a lone wolf and don’t ask for help very well.   I now realize that with their help, I can really make some of my dreams come true.

This will be tough.  The training is off-the-charts intense, and I don’t even know about the diet yet.  We are going to work together to keep my diet as raw vegan as possible, but I probably will be eating some fish and eggs.  I have been eating some sushi and raw eggs occasionally anyway, so it’s not that far off.   Some raw foodists stress that you need to eat some raw eggs and fish, so there are many schools of thought.  My thought is:  I have a goal I want to accomplish.  I may have to do some things temporarily that are not my normal protocol to achieve my goals.   There is no ‘right’ way to be healthy, and no percentage of raw that is absolute.  And that’s why I tell people not to stress about their diet or the percentage of raw–just eat as much delicious, whole, organic, raw food as you can.

I will update you on how it’s going.  I can’t reveal everything on the internet, as that would not be considerate to my trainers and their hard-won knowledge and experience.  They deserve to be paid for their knowledge, so I don’t want to compromise their kindness and generosity to me by giving secrets away for free!  That would just be wrong.

The weekend was amazing and so were the ladies.  I made some incredible new friends, and have a whole new sorority of Sisters in Iron!

I will tell you more soon.  I just got home from driving straight through from Ormond Beach to Chapin with only one stop.  And I am going to take my tired, sore, but happy self to bed.

Be Defiant!
