Tomorrow is Saturday, October 24th, and the NPC National Championships is exactly 4 weeks from tomorrow! In the bodybuilding world, this is known as being “4 Weeks Out”. In bodybuilding lingo, X number of weeks ‘out’ is how long you have to get your body in the best show condition that you can. [...]

It’s Saturday! That means my rear end is glued to the chaise lounge in front of our big screen TV! Right now, the Tennessee Vols (my husband’s favorite team) is playing the Florida Gators, and so far in the first quarter holding their own against the mighty Gators. My Georgia Bulldogs are [...]

This has to be a quickie! Just got back in from Georgia—we were visiting my family, helping out around the farm, and of course I was there in Sanford Stadium to see the Dawgs squeak by the Gamecocks! Whew! That was a thriller. When my man Rennie Curran slapped down that [...]

Most of you who know even a little bit about me know I am an Athens born and bred, die-hard Georgia Bulldog. I attended UGA and earned my BBA and MBA in Marketing and Sport Management. And you also know that football is not a matter of life and death to me–it’s [...]

I am so excited. I sent in my progress pictures this weekend to my Bombshell Coach, Shannon, and nervously awaited the verdict. I felt like I have given 110%, despite being hampered by my bad knees (more on those in a minute), but I was still concerned whether she thought I had made progress along [...]

OK, I promised I would post my progress measurements. This morning, I was happy to see my waist had come down 1/2 inch to 24 3/4″. I was at nearly 27″ when I started the new training. Upper thighs gained ever so slightly at 20 5/8″–up from 20 1/2″ (yay!), but lower thighs lost 1/4 inch to 16 1/2″. [...]

I am so sorry it’s been so long since I have written anything on my blog. I have truly missed it. Life has been extremely hectic and I just haven’t had the time to sit down and write like I want to. I need to do short ones instead, I know. I tend to take [...]

Wow, did we ever kill legs today! I am already sore, but that’s partly because I was doing plyometric leg exercises last night for my cardio intervals, so my legs were already pre-exhausted. I still got my heavy leg press, though!
Leg Workout:
Warmup on recumbent bike for 12 minutes
Leg press: 4 sets: 1 medium intensity with [...]

Hi Everybody!
I just got back in from visiting my parents in Georgia today, amid the worst winter storm we have seen here in balmy South Carolina in a long time. My mother had to have a preventive measure done to help protect her heart. She had an ICD installed, which is a combo defibrillator/pacemaker. As [...]
