It’s Saturday! That means my rear end is glued to the chaise lounge in front of our big screen TV! Right now, the Tennessee Vols (my husband’s favorite team) is playing the Florida Gators, and so far in the first quarter holding their own against the mighty Gators. My Georgia Bulldogs are [...]

I am so excited. I sent in my progress pictures this weekend to my Bombshell Coach, Shannon, and nervously awaited the verdict. I felt like I have given 110%, despite being hampered by my bad knees (more on those in a minute), but I was still concerned whether she thought I had made progress along [...]

Well, I am well into my second week of full-fledged official Bombshell Training and Dieting. The reason I haven’t written much about my experiences so far is that I have been so thoroughly worked out that my fingers wouldn’t even type!
Nah–just kidding, but this new schedule has taken some adjustment, and is great because it [...]

I was so tired the other night, I just briefly hit the highlights and went to bed. Then my beloved cat Jukebox went ballistic on me at 4am, and was absolutely relentless in trying to get me up to feed him. He wasn’t happy with the fish that Michael had fed him the night before. [...]

Hi Everybody!
I just got back in from visiting my parents in Georgia today, amid the worst winter storm we have seen here in balmy South Carolina in a long time. My mother had to have a preventive measure done to help protect her heart. She had an ICD installed, which is a combo defibrillator/pacemaker. As [...]

I had a great birthday party last night! I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many dear friends. Here are some pictures from the party last night:
You can see my Macadamia/White Chocolate/Strawberry Cheezecake on the right, and the regular cake on the left. I even had decidedly non-health-nut people coming up to me [...]

I saw the greatest quote yesterday: “Baby steps spark miracles. Miracles do not spark baby steps. Take action. The only miracles that can’t reach you are the ones you wait around for.”
I took a few baby steps today. I taught my first living foods class. It was a blessing and a wonderful experience. For some [...]

Wow! I am pretty proud of myself. I just completed a full 24-hour fast, in preparation for a detoxing cleanse that I am doing this week. The seven-day detox is on a website I really love called the Raw Divas. The link to the cleanse is: Seven Day Detox. It’s free, with tons of support, [...]

It’s been a great day! No gym workout today. Instead I got my cardio and lots of bodyweight squats putting in my beautiful Rainbow Swiss Chard plants and mustard plants as well. We have had beautiful weather the last few days, even up in the 70’s, but today was a different story. My fingers were numb [...]
